An incident at a party resulted in a man’s arrest. Police in North Dakota arrested one of the men believed to have been involved in that incident, after which he allegedly discharged a weapon. Although it does not appear as if he is charged with any weapon offenses, he is facing criminal charges for reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning, several people notified police that they had heard multiple gunshots somewhere in the area. Police reported to that area but apparently did not find anything indicating that a person had discharged a weapon. However, police received another report at around 10 a.m. the same day.
That report came from a person who said there were at least five bullet holes in his vehicle. At the scene, police found multiple casings on the street in the area by the car. While continuing the investigation, police discovered that the vehicle’s owner had been in an altercation with another person — a 22-year-old man — during a party the night before. Police determined that the 22-year-old man had initially left the party after the altercation, but then returned a short while later. At that point he shot the door of the other man’s vehicle a total of five times.
No other vehicles were damaged during the shooting and no one was injured. North Dakota police were eventually able to locate the man believed to be responsible for the shooting, and arrested him.
