Alleged drunk driving accident kills North Dakota sisters

On Behalf of | May 22, 2014 | Drunk Driving

Driving under the influence is a serious charge that should not be taken lightly. Those who are charged with such a crime may want to speak with an attorney to better understand their rights. In cases where an accident has occurred and there are injuries or worse, it can be especially important to seek legal advice.

Recently two North Dakota sisters were killed in a car accident involving an alleged instance of DUI, in which the driver was apparently a co-worker of one of the women. The driver of the car may face criminal charges in connection with the accident, although none of had been filed following the accident. The driver was treated for injuries at an area hospital.

The unfortunate accident occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle, which apparently rolled over and resulted in the death of the two sisters. The accident is still under investigation. What is known is that the deceased knew the man suspected of causing the crash. Prior to the accident, the women reportedly requested a ride in the driver’s new sports car.

When facing DUI charges, it can be beneficial to have an attorney to assist you in your defense. There are several factors to consider and they may not all be clear to you or your family while you face the legal system. Despite the mistakes you may or may not have made, it is better to face the courts and try and move on, with help, than it is to carry the burden alone.
